iPhone 4 Wooden Case Looks Retro, Mimics Camera Design
August 29th, 2011
As if owning an iPhone 4 isn’t special enough, you now get to turn your unit into something even more special. I’m talking about the wooden case for iPhone 4 pictured below. Aside from making your device look like a genuine camera, this accessory will protect it from various risks, possibly excluding termites.
The covering case is made of walnut and bamboo, pretty resilient materials that protect the iPhone from damage. Laser engraving has also been applied to this wooden case and in case you hold the handset + case in your hands, you’ll feel as if you’re using a regular camera. The inside of the accessory incldes a layer of felt, for extra cushion between the smartphone and the glossy outer shell.
The problem here is actually a dilemma: if plastic polutes nature, then wood is better for a case, but what about the trees that were taken down to make the case? Back to the concept iPhone case itself, you must’ve notice that it comes with two sections, that can be easily detached from the middle. Of course, as anyone would predict, the case allows you to access the volume button, camera flash, piower button and headphone jack easily.
